Spivey, Fred W.

Fred W. “Buck” Spivey, 89, went to be with his Lord on December 4, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia F. Spivey “Ginny” and two sons, Rev. Frederick D. Spivey and wife, Beverley, Carl G. Spivey and wife Beverly; three grandchildren, Seth Spivey of Powhatan, Christa Hare and husband, Brian and Bradford Spivey and wife, Chancy of Richmond; two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Parker Hare; one living sister, Myrtle “Peggy” Dalton of Richmond, and many nieces and nephews. Buck was a 54 year member of Kingsland Baptist Church where he served in various capacities including deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He was a veteran of WWII and retired from E.I. DuPont Company in 1976. A celebration of Buck’s life will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Kingsland Baptist Church, 8801 Perrymont Road in Chesterfield Co. with the burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester. The family will receive friends from 6-8:30 pm Tuesday at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Flowers or donations may be made to the Kingsland Baptist Church Building Fund. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
