Condolences

I graduated from Girard High School with Ivor in 1961. Although I did not know Ivor as well in high school, I had the chance to converse with him for a long time at our 25-year reunion. I found him to be so totally delightful. I was a widow at the time (have since remarried), and Ivor and I just enjoyed the evening talking and getting to know one another a little better. We e-mailed each other from time to time. The last time I heard from Ivor was late last spring.

I want you to know that Ivor was a truly good man (of course, you know that anyway!).

I just this afternoon had the sad responsibility (which I treasure being able to do for him) of informing the Class of '61 of Ivor's death.

Please know you have my deepest sympathy, and that I will always treasure having the chance to get to know him a little better.

God bless, comfort, strengthen and sustain you!

To the Davis family:

Even though you don't me personally, I would like to share some encouraging information. I read about your loss and would like to give my condolences. I am a volunteer who helps people come to an accurate knowledge of the Bible. Some scriptures that may be encouraging to you at this time is John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:4. Please read these sciptures whenever you get a chance. I hope they will be of comfort to you.

Mr. Davis was a great teacher. My friend, nee Janet Beazley, emailed me tonight to tell me about our great loss. We were all students at the high school in Caroline with Mr. Davis. There are many fond memories that we'll always cherish! My deepest sympathy to all of you.
