Condolences

Friends in Hopewell sent me the notice of Helen's death, and many happy memories suddenly filled my mind. I have not seen Helen since 1965 when we moved to St Louis from Virginia, and we lost track of one another. However, I have never forgotten her. She and I were guidance counselors together at Hopewell High school from 1961-1965, and we had a close friendship. I don't think I ever saw her without a smile on her face, even when she had to go through surgery and was quite ill. She always gave so much of herself to others. She and Charlie did not live too far from Ken and me (we were over on Forest Glen). I remember her son and daughter and how proud she was of them, and now there are grandchildren and great-grandchildren! I know that it is hard to give up a loved one, and my prayers are with all of you. She was such a spiritual person, and I am sure she lights up Heaven, Just know that many friends such as us loved her dearly. Sincerely, Bettie N. Brakebill (Ken)(9328 E. rrowvale Dr., Sun Lakes, AZ 85248)

May God strength you as you go through this time. I knew Helen from Fair Havens. She was one of our teachers in the Cornerstone Class. She was such a delight and blessing to all of us and we missed her when her health and distance kept her away. Her granddaughter, Kathy Douglas, sang in the choir with me. She was a beautiful lady and I am sure memories of her will always warm your hearts.
God bless,
Carolyn Gentry
