Pearson, Sarah F.

Sarah Frances “Sis” Pearson, 83, of Hopewell, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005 in Hopewell Healthcare Center. She was born in Hopewell. Mrs. Pearson was a member of Liberty Baptist Church for over twelve years and a retired clerk with Sears. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter L. and Alma C. Henley Hudson, her beloved husband, Charlie W. “Red” Pearson, and a son, Sgt. Robert G. Mayes. Surviving are a daughter, Marie F. Mayes of Hopewell, a son, Frederick L. Mayes and wife, Betty of Chester, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, a brother, Millard L. Hudson of Hopewell and a nephew, Walter L. Hudson of Hopewell. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005 at 11 AM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery.
