My name is Mr. Jeff Basile, Sr. of 204 south 9th Ave., in Hopewell Va. 23860. I am eighty three years old, a former employee of Contenental Can Co. and of Smurfit Stone in Hopewell, Va. Dewey Hancock Jr., Dewey Hancock, Sr., Kieth Hancock, brother Frank Hancock of Georgia. All of the Hancock families of the men mentioned above were always respected and thought of as the finest and best of all men or friends that I could of known and respected.
I was a patient of Henrico Drs Hospital and just recently released having had surgery. I was unable to attend the funeral and offer my heartfelt condolences and be there with the Hancock Family. This was a terrible shock to me as I have always respected and cared for all of my past Hancock friends. Dewey was very special to me and I will always cherish the memories and friendship we had. May God take care of him and bless you all.
