Martz Sr., Allen M.

Allen Murray Martz, Sr., 69, of Chester entered into eternal life Friday, November 4, 2005. He was born in PA the son of the late William H. and Alice F. Martz and also preceded in death by his step-mom Geraldine Martz. Mr. Martz was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Allied Chemical. In his retirement he worked in the pro-shop at First Tee in Chesterfield County and The Prince George Golf Course. He is survived by his wife Betty Shumaker Martz; five children Sandy Martz, Faye Satterwhite and husband Buddy, Gail Davidson and husband Robert “Whitey”, Allen Martz Jr. and wife Jill, and Tim Martz and wife Lisa; nine grandchildren Trae Martz, Ryan Satterwhite, Christian Satterwhite, Jeremy Satterwhite, Jeremy Martz, Chelsea Martz, Cody Martz, Joey Martz, and Lindsea Martz; an expected grandchild Jordan Martz; one great grandchild William Martz; six brothers William Martz, Jr., Jerry Martz and wife Rosemary, Barry Martz, James Martz and wife Carol, Richard Martz and wife Barbara, and Gary Martz and wife Luann; five sisters Marilyn Smith and husband Fred, Peggy Drop and husband Ron, Esther Czekaj and husband Ted, Cheryl Barr and husband Jack, and Susie Yeskey and husband Buster; and all of the special people at Hospice of Central Virginia. The family will receive friends today from 4 to 8 PM at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 7th at the funeral home at 1PM with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Tee or the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com

Aunt Betty, Sandy, Gail, Faye, Butch & Tim:
I'm so sorry to hear about uncle Al...I just found out today. We haven't been in touch in a long time. Uncle Al always put a smile on my face, he will surely be missed. I love & miss all of you very much. This is a very difficult time for all of you and I'm sorry I wasn't there with all of you like you were there for us when Nanny died. All my love to all!!!!
