Slaughter, John M.Friday, October 28, 2005
John M. Slaughter, 72, of Petersburg, died Friday October 28. He was the son of the late James Garland and Clara Denson Slaughter and was predeceased by his loving wife, Charlotte B. Slaughter, a son; Michael Lee Slaughter, a brother Ernest Slaughter and a sister Linda Mason. Mr. Slaughter was a self employed brick mason and lived in Petersburg most of his life. He is survived by three grandchildren; Michael, Michelle and William, his sisters Joyce Slaughter, Kaye Crowder and Carol West and her husband Don sisters-in- law Linda W. Slaughter, Peggy Billups, and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Blandford Cemetery.
