Condolences

Dear Cheryl and Becky, Oct. 18, 2005

I received word of your Mother's arrival at her final destination late Saturday.
I had hoped to be able to attend the service as a simple tribute from me to her and the wonderful woman she was and the impact she had on my early years. I am sorry to say,I was unable to make the arrangements to attend the funeral.
Upon hearing of this news I could imagine Granny and Haywood standing at those pearly gates asking what had taken her so long. As I remember back to our early childhood years, it was not at all unusal for for your mom to come in later than most others...especically for church on Sunday morning...
but that was a small trait considernig all the positive influences and character building she gave to her family and those who spent time with her. I consider myself to have had that blessing.

There are many cherished memories of time spent with all of you, trips to the farm, carpools, overnights, and too many other occasions to mention. Of course both of you realize how very proud she was of her girls...in later years when we met or I visited with her nothing would light up her eyes like the mention of both of you both, well maybe her grandchildren!
Please know my thought and prayers are with you both and your families. Your mother was a woman of great faith and you have the assurance that she will be up there waiting to see you again in the future. God bless you both,
Nancy Keener Scherer
