Berry, Jesse H. Jr.

Jesse H. Berry Jr., 91, of Hopewell formerly of Colonial Heights died Saturday October 15, 2005. He was the son of the late Jesse H. Sr. & Eugenia L. Phillips Berry and was predeceased by a brother Hunter J. “Boots” Berry and a half-sister Lois B. Kirkland. He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose Hopewell Lodge, a member of VFW Post 284 in Colonial Heights, a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II. He is survived by three brothers Branch E. Berry of Petersburg, Hartwell P. “Dick” Berry of Chesterfield, Eugene N. “Corky” Berry and his wife Ann of Chesterfield, numerous nieces and nephews, three close friends, Hazel R. Murrell of Colonial Heights and George T. Murrell and his wife Maureen of Hopewell. The family will receive friends Tuesday October 18, 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
