Lasiter, Lucy Pinkelton

Lucy Pinkelton Lasiter ,74, of Hopewell, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2005 at her residence. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Wister and Edith Christene Walthall Pinkelton and the sister of the late Mildred Eley. She was agraduate of Petersburg High School and retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company. Lucy was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church where she was active in the Heart to Heart ministry. She is survived by her husband, Dale Henderson Lasiter; a son, John B. Wickwire; a daughter, Yvonne Rasnick and husband, Glen; step-daughters, Marla Picklesimer and Karen Lasiter both of Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Jennifer Wickwire of Texas; a grandson, Paul Rasnick; a sister, Sarah Evelyn Humphries of Sutherland, VA and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 17, 2005 from 7 to 8:30 pm. Burial will follow at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Building Fund at Colonial Heights Baptist Church, 231 Chesterfield Ave, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
