Robinett, Lougenia Brown

Lougenia Brown Robinett, 93, of Hopewell, passed away Friday, October 14, 2005 at John Randolph Nursing Home. Born in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Chalie and Mary Maggie Shinn Brown and the widow of James Morris Brown. One of Lougenia’s more recent accomplishments was being crowned queen at this years annual celebration of Nursing Home Week at John Randolph Nursing Home. She is survived by a daughter, Darles R. Harrison and husband, Calvin; a grandson, James Alan Carter and wife, Kathy; a granddaughter, Rebecca C. Kite and husband, Wesley; great-grandchildren, Carl Wesley Kite, Cynthia Lee Carter and Jennifer Ann Carter and sister-in-laws, Frances R. Baker of Salisbury, MD and June Robinett of Houston TX. A graveside service will be held 11 am, Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. The Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hopewell or Prince George Rescue Squad or to the charity of your choice. Please know that we're all with you in spirit even though we can't be there physically. Lougenia was a very special aunt to us and you are special too.
