Janesse Burkley Renee, 61, of Colonial Heights, died Sunday, October 2, 2005. in the Medical College of Virginia. She was born in Washington, D.C. Ms. Renee was a retired systems analyst with the Department of Defense, a member of Xi Gamma Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and a volunteer with the Chesterfield Christmas Mother. She was the daughter of the late Robert B and Janesse Iris Murphy Burkley. Survivors include a daughter, Catherine Renee and husband, Jeff, of Manassas, a son, Terrence L. Renee, Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Spotsylvania; two sisters, Mary Cascio of Arlington and Laura Weber of Atlantic Beach, Florida; and grandchildren, Drew, Christa, Caitlin, Jon Luke, Marissa and Michael.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 5, from 6-8:30 p.m at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 6, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Xi Gamma Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, c/o Donna H. Devier, 15018 Lakeside Court, Church Road, VA 23833.

As a former co-worker, I have such fond memories of Janesse. Just as her wit often sustained us, I pray that such memories will sustain you through this difficult time.
