We are deeply saddened by Martha's death. We are among her Boston friends. We will always remember her energy, her wicked sense of humour, her nicknames for others, her love of animals, her ability to relate equally to all kinds of people, her outrage at injustice of any sort.
We shared many lively Friday night Shabbat dinners with her, laughing about her various escapades, satin sheets, our love for Chocolate Cats cookies. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Our deep condolences to Agnes, Mr. Marable, friends, and other family members.

Kinsey and Gene -
Crawford and I often thought of Martha even prior to your loss. She was a favorite and the name she hung on Crawford - "Peaford Cross" - we often smile about. Our sympathies on your loss. Tho we had not seen Martha in years, we had kept up with her and know she was a bright spot. She will be missed!

We cannot believe that Martha is no longer with us. Her bright shining face is what we see, her laughter is what we hear. We think of her with love and send our deepest condolences to her partner Agnes and her family.

I am so sad to be writting this. The few time I saw Martha, as an adult she was always smiling and happy. When she was younger, she came across as a mischievously happy child.
Please accept my sympthy and condolences. She will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Clair

I am so sad to hear of Martha's death
I remember living on Westover Ave. Martha and Kinsey (and I) were younger and ,I think,we joyfully got into trouble together.
A few years ago I ran into Martha down at Heidi's home. I remember her always smiling and happy.
Please except our sympathy and condolences.
Love, Clair

To Agnes,
I am so sorry for your sudden loss. I am taking the spirit of you and Martha to a Buddhist prayer meeting today at 2pm and to a ceremonial sweatlodge this evening. This note is to let you know that I am sharing your grief and am sorry that i cannot be physically present this morning in Virginia. Martha will be missed by many much more than she can know. I look forward to sharing stories of Martha.

For Agnes and all those whose lives were made richer by knowing Martha:
We miss you and love you and wish your spirit peace and light. Our sadness is seasoned with laughter at the many many memories of escapades
and hysterically funny good times. The world is definitely emptier and duller without you. The memories of your vitality and sharp wit sustain us as we grieve your departure.

Our deepest sympathy and condolences to Martha's family and all who loved her, as we did. Growing up on Westover Avenue has it's own special place in our hearts as kids of Petersburg. It's what we are made of - the pranks, the skinned knees, the night's out, kick the can,the sled rides on iced streets, dinner calls, bike rides, learning to drive, Bolllingbrook-OMG,first cigaretts, the Martian factory, on and on. Petersburg kids always stay bonded, without words or visits. And that is how it was with Martha. My husband and I were blessed with several years of "Martha" time while she lived in Phoenix. Great times and good talks. She can handle the hottest chili on earth with a Corona! She always pushed the envelope of life and oh how I admired her qwest for more. Martha,we wish that your next adventures are powerful, spiritual and peaceful. You will be missed.
Our prayers be with you,

It's been many years since our childhood days in Petersburg, but I still have so many fond memories of those days and how much Martha was a big part of those memories.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

Dear Kinsey & Mr. Marable,
I am feeling such loss and sadness for you and will keep you in my daily prayers. I have so many wonderful childhood memories that I shared with Martha growing up in Petersburg. I smile remembering how we use to set up a road block in the middle of Westover Ave and would not let people through until they bought daffodils from us..I will cherish those wonderful memories and the friendship I had with my buddy, Martha.
Luv,
