Bynum, Evelyn I.

Evelyn I. Bynum, 78, of Sussex Co., died Monday, September 12, 2005. She was born in Burnsville, NC and was the daughter of the late William Roscoe and Donna Gardner Pate. She worked for Allied Signal for 35 years and was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Doyle F. Bynum; three sons, Sam Riddle of Newman, GA, Danny Riddle of Sussex Co. and Chris Bynum of Dinwiddie Co.; daughter, Nancy Harrell of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters, Thelma Ramsey of Chester and Betty Pafford of Spruce Pine, NC; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Dr. Douglas S. Echols, pastor of Enon Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cancer Research Foundation. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

We the family of the Late Vaughtie Thomas and the late Bobby C. Thomas, send our heartfelt condolences to you the family. Miss Evelyn, moms neice, was a blessing to our hearts. She visited moma often when she was here and mom always loved when she stopped by to see her. Our prayers are with you during this time.

Hello, I am Vaughtie Thomas' daughter. Evelyn was moms neice. We so enjoyed her visits her with us while my mom was alive. she was dear to our hearts and will be missed. We send our prayers out to you during this time.
