Pierce, Henry L.

Henry Louis Pierce 79, of Petersburg, passed away unexpectedly, he was retired from the city of Petersburg where he worked as a caretaker for Blandford Cemetery, and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during WWII. He was the son of the late James W. & Henretta Whitley Pierce & was predeceased by two brothers Joseph Alvin Pierce Sr., & Jimmy Pierce. He is survived by a loving sister Ada Marian Carroll of Disputanta, Brother Linwood Pierce & wife Terry of Mass. sister-in-law Eva Pierce of Colonial Heights and numerous nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday August 31, 7:00-8:30 PM at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service; a funeral service will be conducted in the chapel Thursday September 1, 2005 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
