Tatum, Howard W."Pete"

Howard Wilson “Pete” Tatum, Jr. 54, of Chester, died Monday August 29, 2005 in Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, Gloucester, VA. He was born in Petersburg. Mr. Tatum served in the U. S. Navy, and was a retired maintenance employee with Hercules Inc.. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard W. and Myrtle Stanley Tatum. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Adkins Tatum of Chester, two daughters, Karen T. McDaniel of Midlothian, and Brooke T. Doersch of Chesterfield, three grandchildren, Jakob McDaniel of Midlothian, Preston and Conner Doersch of Chesterfield, two brothers, Jerry and John Tatum both of Hopewell. A graveside service will be held Thursday September 1, 2005 at 2PM in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester , with Dr. Ivan
Perkinson, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Life-Net 3609 Saunders Ave. Richmond, Va. 23227. The family is being served by J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com

Kathy, Karen and Brooke,
You know that my family loved you guys like you were family, we all grew up together! I am thinking of you all with sympathy and I am here if you need a shoulder. I like to remember the good times and hope that in the future the good times are what carries you guys through. Just know that you guys are in my thoughts and prayers.
