Powers, John E.Monday, August 01, 2005
John Eli Powers, 68, of Chesterfield died Monday, August 1, 2005. He was born in South Carolina the son of the late Myrick C. and Martha T. Powers. Mr. Powers was a truck driver for Great Coastal and a member of Bellwood Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife Eva Mae Powers; two sons John Michael Powers and his wife Sheri and Jeffrey Alan Powers; five grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 3rd at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 am at the funeral home with interment to follow in Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com Condolences
