Wellington, Ronnie

Ronnie “Worm” Wellington, 63, of Hopewell, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, July 26, 2005. He was born in Prince George County and had been a lifelong resident of the Hopewell area. Mr. Wellington was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley M. Wellington, his parents, Sebby and Katherine Sears Wellington, and a brother, Gary Wellington. He is survived by a son, Ron Wellington, Jr. and his wife, Stacy of Greensboro, NC, one daughter, Dana M. Blankenship and her husband, Brian of Hopewell, five grandchildren, Reid, Greyson, Rebecca, Brooke and Brianna, one brother, Johnnie Wellington and his wife Ruby of Hopewell and special friends, Bobby and Dawn Amos of Hopewell. Mr. Wellington was a member of the Hopewell Moose Lodge #1472, a retired Ironworker, a self employed painter and current co-owner of Carpet World, Inc. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 28, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
