Reese, Franklin, E.

Franklin Elder Reese, Sr., 71, of Ford, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2005 after a lengthy illness. A lifelong resident of Dinwiddie County, he was the husband of Betty Lewis Reese and the son of the late Rosser and Gussie Reese. He was a member of Hawkins Memorial Presbyterian Church, Dinwiddie Masonic Lodge 136, Wilson-Hebron-Ford Ruritan Club and an Air Force Veteran. After more than 30 years, he was retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company where he was electrical supervisor. Mr. Reese is also survived by his sons, Franklin E. Reese, Jr. and wife, Barbara W. and Mark K. Reese and wife, Dawn C.; grandchildren, Bryan, Holly, and Sara Reese; brother, Rosser G. Reese; sister, Maxine R. Hale, foster sister, Barbara L. Cole and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Also preceding him in death were his sisters, Dorothy Royall and Sarah Holloway and brother, Ralph Reese. The family will receive friends Monday, July 25, 2005, from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 10 am at Hawkins Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ford, Virginia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic rites. Flowers are welcome, but memorial contributions may be made to the Hawkins Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Sarah Gibbs 4724 Grubby Rd. Wilsons, Virginia 23894. Our deepest sympathy to the family of Brother Frank.
It was a pleasure to get to know him in Dinwiddie
Lodge. I also know he was a good friend to my Dad.
I know he will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
