Mathis, Annie L.

Mrs. Annie Lee Mathis, 87, of Brighter Living, Hopewell, died Saturday, July 16,2005 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in Bedford, Va. and was a resident of Hopewell for most of her life. Mrs. Mathis was a member of First Baptist Church and was a retired secretary with the Hopewell Recreation Department. She was preceded in death by her parents Randolph and Bertha Clark Lee, her husband, Raymond L. “Nick” Mathis and a son, R. Earl Mathis. Surviving is a son, Marvin R. Mathis of Hopewell and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 129, 2005 from 7 to 8:30 PM at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with the rev.
