Perkins, Edith NorkettSunday, July 17, 2005
Edith Norkett Perkins, 79, of Richmond, died Friday, July 15, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Alice Benfield and William L. Norkett. and predeceased by her sons Terry Long and Charles Long; four sisters Annie Noles, Faye Thomas, Ruth Payne, Pauline Sutton; and two brothers Clarence and Kenneth Norkett. She is survived by her husband Merritt L. Perkins, Sr; five sons : Jerry Parker (Jeanie) of Gastonia, NC., Mike Parker (Judy)of Gastonia, NC, Edsel Long Jr. (Diane) of Dinwiddie, Tony Long, of Jacksonville, Fla, Merritt Perkins, Jr. (Angie) of Prince George; daughter in law Judy Long of Chesterfield; four step daughters Joyce and husband Roy James of Prince George, Pamela and John Nymann of California, Joanne and Lee Seward, of Richmond, and Brenda and Richard Thompson of Hopewell; one brother Billy Norkett of Gastonia, N.C. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 11:00 am at the J .T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service Chesterfield Chapel. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park, Chester, Va.. Condolences
