Smith, Mary A.S.

Mary Ann Sheffield Smith, 75, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005. Born in Alexandria, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Samuel and Jane Adams Sheffield. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Kaye Smith and her husband, John A. Smith. She is survived by four sons, John Wayne Smith and wife, Donna of Sutherland, Kenneth Smith and wife, Joanie of Church Road, Robert Brian Smith and Morris H. Smith both of Dinwiddie; three daughters, Janet Douglas and husband, Robert of Brunswick, GA, Jill S. Thomas and husband, Howard of Sutherland, and Sue Ellen Freudig of Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Ryan Smith and wife, Beth, Justin Smith, Jessica Smith, Avery Smith, Tabitha Smith, Joy Beth Freudig and Jordan Freudig; great-grandchild, Gracie Smith; a sister, Nancy Sheffield, a brother, Charles N. Sheffield both of Matoaca; and a brother-in-law, Calvin H. Smith. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Tuesday at Ocran United Methodist Church, Sutherland. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 13, at the church with the Rev. Gene C. Tatum, pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery.
