Ethel M. Shelor, 92, of Prince George, died Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Walnut Hill Convalescent Center. She was born in Roanoke the daughter of the late John W. and Sally Byrd McGuire. Mrs. Shelor was the widow of Leonard C. Shelor and was also preceded in death by her son, William E. “Bill” Shelor. She is survived by her daughter Janet S. Minter and her husband, Malory of Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 6th at Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville, VA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Wesy Chappell, 1117 Fort Hayes Dr., Petersburg, VA 23805. Miss Ethel lived a long and productive life. We'll miss her, but know that she's now in a better place. We consider ourselves fortunate to have gotten to see her before her passing. Try to focus on the good times in her life and the happiness she brought, rather than on grief over her departure from our company.
