Mildred Ballard Goodwin, 88, of Hopewell, died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Martin County, NC and had been a long time resident of this area. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the VFW and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Byra Hyman Ballard, her husband Wilton Lewis Goodwin and a son Gerald Francis Goodwin. Mrs. Goodwin is survived by her daughter, Joyce G. Hopkins and her husband Thomas H. Hopkins, Jr. of Hopewell, two sons, William Lewis Goodwin and his wife, Helene of Enon, James Ballard Goodwin of Chesterfield County, a daughter-in-law, Mildred C. Goodwin of Enon, 11 grandchildren, 19, great grandchildren, 5 great, great, grandchildren and a brother, Larry K. Ballard of Washington State.. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 5, 2005 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 6, 2005 at 11:00AM in Appomattox Cemetery with Bishop Derrick Johnson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court., Glen Allen, Virginia 23060. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com

Dear Debbie, Micky, Bobby:
I know im late writing this, for i just found out a little too late(a week or 2 ago) about Gerry's mother. I did not know her, but i know it was rough for all, because Moo Moo has went to be with the Lord also in a short amount of time apart.
I think about everyone of you everytime i look down the street
my thought and prayers are with you.
