Short, Else S.Thursday, May 12, 2005
Else S. Short, 77, of Petersburg, widow of William H. Short, Sr., MSgt. (Ret.), died Thursday, May 12, 2005 in Colonial Heights Health Care Center. Mrs. Short was a native of Darmstadt, Germany and was the daughter of the late Alexander and Elisabethe Dorner Schindler. She is survived by her son, William H. Short, Jr. and wife, Yvonne of Chesterfield, a daughter, Betty Elizabeth Garrett and husband, J.T. of Newhall, CA., two grandsons, Scott C. Short of Kitty Hawk, NC and Corey L. Garrett of Newhall, CA. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com. Condolences
Bill, Betsy and families, My deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear mother/ grandmother/ mother-in-law, and wife. Mrs. Short was a precious lady. She was warm and considerate and extended friendship to me during a difficult time. I have never forgotten her or her family.
