Alvin E. Poole, Jr., 68, passed away at Heritage Hall in Blackstone on Tuesday, April 26, 2005. Mr. Poole was a native of Ettrick and was formerly employed as a Manager at Safeway Stores in the Petersburg area. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corina Elder Poole, his parents, Alvin E. Poole, Sr. and Judith Pond Poole and grandson, Matthew Coble. He is survived by his children, Glenn Poole of Ettrick and Susan Coble and her husband Jerry of Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Justin Coble, Brandon Coble and Chelsea Poole; a sister, Nancy Amistadi and her husband Ray of Dover, OH; a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service where a funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 29. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered online at www.jtmorriss.com.

I am so sorry to hear of your father's death. I will always remember coming to visit as a child. He was a sweet and kind person that I will remember always. I will continue to pray for you as you go thru your grieving. May God bless you.
