Daniels, Harold

Harold Lloyd Daniels, 79, of Hopewell, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at his residence.

He was born in Middleton, West Virginia and had been a long time resident of the Hopewell area. Mr. Daniels was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during WWII. He was a truck driver while living in West Virginia before coming to Hopewell to work for Firestone where he retired as an operator. He was the son of the late Arbie and Gladys Wilson Daniels. Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife, Kathleen Reed Daniels of Hopewell, one son, Harold T. Daniels and his wife Loydette, 2 grandchildren, Khris K. Daniels and Carly B. Daniels, all of Chesterfield, VA. one sister, Frances M. Garretson of Beckley, West Virginia and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 8, 2005 at 11:00AM in City Point National Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating.
