Dear Baxter and family,

Please accept my belated, yet no less sincere condolences upon the passing of Miss Stella.

I had the distinct honor and privilege of meeting her and making her acquaintance on several occasions that I will long remember and cherish.

Such Ladies, Mothers, Friends and Companions never truly die while their memory and blood live on in their descendents and are fondly remembered by their admiring and grateful friends.

I know that this is of little consolation, but as I reflect upon those who have gone on to prepare a place for us in the presence of Our Lord, my only refuge in such times of grief and sorrow is that our loss is Heaven's gain, and indeed long for that glorious Reunion.

Yours most sorrowfully,

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to your entire family. As our lives move into different circles they somehow come back around to the things we learned as children. We also are caring for a very ill family member and you have been such an inspiration to us to keep our spirits up and remember our heavenly Father is incharge.
As a child growing up in Powhatan I remember your families love and friendship in our church, May Memorial, and with my Dad(Mickey Morris) and my uncle and aunt (Lawarence and Jessie Stevenson). We all attended May Memorial church and I was in the Christmas pagent with David. Our family rented your cottage in Colonial Beach for vacations and what great memories I have of those times and the how willing you were to share everything we needed to have a wonderful time.
Now as our lives have moved on Baxter is our customer at Southeastern Marine, and my son, Mickey, is your grandaughters paient.
Thank you again for the help you have given others in sharing your story in the newpaper in the past and for the generosity you have always shared with others.
May God bless you and your family in this times of sorrow.

Dear Catherine,
We saw your grandmother's obituary today. I was very saddened as I have thought many times of your grandparents since the beautiful article on their relationship in the RTD several years ago. It touched me so much and though I have not had the privilege of knowing either of them, the article inspired me with my own relationship with my husband. I saved it and read it often. It is people like Stella who will continue to live in many people's hearts, even those who didn't know her.
