Nellie Spiers Harville, 81 of Colonial Heights died March 24, 2005. She was a native of Dinwiddie Co. and the daughter of the late Henry Dorman and Norah Drummond Spiers. She was the widow of Thomas William Harville. She is survived by two sons, Allen T. Harville of Matoaca and Wilber T. Harville of Va. Beach; daughter, Dorothy H. Small of Chesterfield; four grandchildren, Tyus Harville, Jeremy Harville, Samuel Harville and Lucas Harville; one great-grandchild, Andrew Harville. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, March 28, 2005 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Interment will be in East Matoaca Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Nellie and I became friends the moment we met. She was a very kind and loving women who meant so much to me. She would always say that i was her adopted granddaughter. Oh, what a joy she was to be around. She has touched everyones life she has come in contact with and will be missed dearly by me and the staff of CHHCC.

Nellie was such a comfort to me when my mother, Frances Austin, was dying at CHHCC. I was there every day from 12/15 to 1/25/05 and when I needed a break, I went a had a cup of coffee with Nellie in the activities room. She always lifted my spirits. I know she is missed greatly by many others.
