Condolences

Kay, I am so sorry that June has died, but BOY! did she ever put up a good fight.

My Mother, Mary Alice, is not able to come to the funeral. I hope you can understand that it is not a matter of not caring, because she always kept up with June, mostly through Sissy. She just is not functioning well enough to leave the nursing home and attend the funeral.

May God bring you comfort, as only He can.

Love,
Michaele

To June's family:
I wish to express my sympathy concerning the passing of your loved one. June and I were close friends during high school years in Petersburg. As often happens, we lost touch. Several years ago while visiting friends in Colonial Heights, I called her and we chatted briefly. When Hubert died, I tried to contact her with a word of condolence but could not reach her. Tonight I saw her obituary in the Progress-Index online edition and am saddened for you as well as for myself. I have many happy memories of our friendship, and even without contact over the years, I really do think of her often. May God bless you all with His comfort on this sad occasion. With sincere sympathy and prayers on your behalf.
