Evans, John G Jr.Monday, March 21, 2005
John G. Evans Jr., 53, of Petersburg, died Monday March 21, 2005 at South Side Regional Medical Center. He was a retired welder from Manchester Tanks and belonged to the Hopewell Moose Lodge. He was the son of the late John G. Evans Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of three years, Susan E. Evans, his mother Mildred Evans of Petersburg, children Sammy Evans & Donna Fields of Petersburg, Heather & John Groff of Highland Springs, Joni Stalnaker & Mark Hoover of Powhatan, Grandchildren Kate, Jayme, and soon to be Kayleigh, Nephew Corey Reuss of Matoaca, a brother Donald Evans & friend Allison, two sisters, Belinda Evans of Petersburg, Patricia Evans of Matoaca, and his buddy “Roscoe”. The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 PM Wednesday March 23, 2005 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be in Blandford Cemetery 2:00 PM Thursday March 24, 2005. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com. Condolences
Donald and family: I was saddened to read of Johnnys death in the paper. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
