Teresa Pleasants Dudley, 82, Chester, died, Wednesday, March 16, 2005 in John Randolph Medical Center. Mrs. Dudley was born in Hopewell and was a life-long resident of this area. She was a former employee at Defense General Supply Co., Richmond. Mrs. Dudley was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Cora Catlin Pleasants and her husband, Elvin L. Dudley. Surviving are her son, Joseph V. Dudley of Fernandina Beach, Fla., daughter, Cherie D. Gettings of Hopewell, grandson, Alex B. Gettings of Hopewell a great-grandson, Zack S. Shumate of Richmond, Va., and several special friends A graveside service will be held Friday, March 18, 2005 at 11:00AM in Bermuda Memorial Park, with Rev. Doug Echols, pastor of Enon Baptist Church , officiating.. Memorial contributions may be made to Enon Baptist Church, 13607 N. Enon Church Rd., Chester, Virginia 23836. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com Condolences
I know this is supposed to be for friends and family to read, but no one else feels the same I do. I wasn't even told about my grandmothers passing until today. I am speechless. Well i hope everyone knows thta i loved my grandma with all my heart and its a shame that i couldn't have even gone to the funeral. I wish i could have seen my "nanny" one more time.
