Tammy M. Perks age 40 of Prince George died Thursday, March 10, 2005. She is survived by three children, Mark Mizzell, Thera Jones and J.R. Jones; a sister, Penny Sherman; aunts and uncles, Gene and Lillian Kelley, Robert Kelley, Larry Kelley, Janice and Tony Asbury, Wanda and Ivan Marshall, Joanne and Claude Henry and Kenny Widener; cousins, Mary Ann and Jimmy Widener, Michael Widener and Larry; numerous aunts and uncles in N.C.; numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 16 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service with The Reverend George Schutte officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Gene and Lillian Kelley, 110 Marvin Ave., Colonial Heights. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gene and Lillian Kelley at the above address. Condolences may be registered online at www.jtmorriss.com.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry for your loss. Just know that it is okay to be sad for her passing because there will be moments when you will smile and laugh when you recall the memories of your time with her.

To the Family of Tammy Perks,

We are sad to hear the news of Tammy's passing. She was a very unique person and loved to have fun. She lived life to the fullest and never regreted doing so. She had a delightful smile and kindness about her and she loved her children. To the children we are sorry for your loss and hope that you will find comfort in your memories of your mother. You will always have the memories and times together with your mom to carry you through. Never give up, always dream, live life to the fullest and make the world yours.

Tammy Matthews was a beautiful and dear friend of mine since the age of 12 years old. I have very fond memories of times spent with Tammy, Penny and their family. I was miss Tammy very deeply.
