Moody, Birdie P.

Birdie P. Ridout Moody 81 of Petersburg, died March 7, 2005. She was a native of Mecklenburg Co, VA and the daughter of the late James W. Parham, Jr. and Eva Reekes Parham. She was retired from Brown & Williamson after 23 years of service. She was a member of Livingstone Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Neil R. Moody; son, Herbert Ridout and wife, Delores of Petersburg; daughter, Lois Tatum and husband, Jerry of Petersburg; grandson, Jon Wesley Tatum of Richmond; granddaughter, Lea Ridou Tatum of Petersburg; three sisters, Edna P. Brown, Emily P. Brown both of Dinwiddie and Elsie P. Perkinson of Petersburg and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Livingstone Baptist Church Building Fund, 5732 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, VA 23803. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
