Brockwell, Thomas C.

Thomas Calvin Brockwell, 80, of Disputanta, died Friday, March 4, 2005 at John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell. He was the son of the late Thomas E. and Maude Emory Brockwell, and was preceded in death by brothers George Brockwell and James E. “Snapper” Brockwell, Sisters Virgie Brockwell Redmond, Elvia Brockwell Jones and Louise Brockwell Cogle, brothers Timothy L. Brockwell, Briggs Brockwell and William C. “Bill” Brockwell and a niece Debra Brockwell King. He was a retired employee from Hercules Inc., and was a member of Newville U.M.C., Hopewell Moose Lodge, Prince George Masonic Lodge #115 A.F. & A. M., and he had served in the U. S. Army. He is survived by a nephew Roland Brockwell and his wife Judy and their son Tim, a sister-in-law Connie Brockwell, a cousin Mary Frances Smith of Disputanta and a number of nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 7, 2005 at 11:00 a. m. in the Petersburg chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son funeral home. Interment will follow in the Brockwell family cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4 p. m. to 6 p. m. Flowers are acceptable or contributions may be made to Newville U.M.C., 9014 Hines Rd. Disputants, Va. 23842


Condolences

So sorry to hear of Calvin's death. I worked with him at Hercules many years ago. We kept in touch all these years. He called me this past Christmas, and it was good talking about 'old times'. My prayers are with his family.
