Edna O. Stone, 98, of Thaxton, Va, died Friday, March 4, 2005. She was the widow of Dock P. Stone. She is survived by her son Malcolm Durward Stone of Chester, Va. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 6, 2005, Graveside at Greenwood Cemetery, Bedford, Va. The family is being served by the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. I am so sorry will not be able to make it to Harry's visitation tonight and funeral tomorrow but everyone will be in my prayers and thoughts at this most difficult time. I know it is not easy but the faith and trust in the Lord he will get you through all of this.. You are in our thoughts and in our prayers. You have our deep felt sympathy. I know you remember my Dad. I wont go into that story of your Dad and mine. The first thing I thought of when I saw your Mom's obit was all those wonderful meals that she prepared along with Mrs. Witt and Mrs. Alma Key. I remember those good rolls that she made from scrach. I told my daughter I wish that everyone that had attended Thaxton School could be at the cemetery when you all arrive. She was a wonderful person.
