Heartwell, Mary Erma

Mary Erma Heartwell, 91, of McKenney died peacefully February 28, 2005 after a short battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Myrtie Beville and the widow of Thomas Goode Heartwell, Sr. She is survived by daughter Anne B. Roberts of McKenney, son and daughter-in-law Thomas G. and Caroline Heartwell of Prince George, granddaughter Debora R. Glass of Matoaca, grandson David Russell Heartwell of McKenney, granddaughter Nancy Cook of Elkton, VA, great-granddaughter Ashley A. Glass of Matoaca and a brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Dorothy Beville of Sutherland. She was predeceased by a grandson, Rodney Clark Heartwell, a granddaughter Deborah A. Rebarchick, four brothers and four sisters. Erma leaves behind many loving friends to cherish her memory. She was an avid Braves fan. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church with burial following at Asbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church or Crater Community Hospice, 840 W. Roslyn Rd. Suite E., Colonial Heights, VA. 23834. Sorry to hear of Erma's passing.My mother,(her niece)Doris Rawlings Kvasnicka enjoyed talking to her all the time on the phone.We will all miss her.

Erma was loved by so many in the McKenney area. She was like a mother to all of us. Her smiling face will be sorely missed.

It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Erma Heartwell. She was a fine member of this community and she will be sorely missed by the people of McKenney. She always had a smile on her face and her sense of humor was well known to all who met her. She was a good person and we will miss her.
