McCoy, Ruby B.

Ruby Burrow McCoy, 93, of Prince George, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005 in John Randolph Nursing Home. She was born in Burrowsville, VA. And was a former resident of Old Richmond Ave., Richmond. Mrs. McCoy was a retired Kindergarten teacher at Trinity United Methodist Church, Richmond, a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital, Richmond, a former member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Richmond and presently a member of Merchants Hope Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Waverly Lucas and Mary Virginia Louhridge Burrow, her first husband, Clyde “Billy” Morris and second husband, William Vernon McCoy and a daughter, Anne Morris Moore. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Morris Uram of Williamsburg, three grandchildren, Molly Green, Sally Lentz and S. D. Roberts Moore, Jr. all of Annapolis, MD., six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Marion Burrow Williams of Prince George. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 fr4om 12 noon to 1 PM. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Bruce Bevans, Rector of St. John Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment will follow at 3 PM in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Richmond. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130, Glen Allen, VA. 23060. I called Ruby my Aunt Ruby because she was my Aunt Bet's sister. I knew all of the Burrow Family as well as her children. She was so good to my Mama and Daddy..I have missed her so much since she went to Prince George to live.. Sympathy to all the Family..

I send my condolences to :"Aunt" Marion, Brenda, Karen and Laurie. As well as the rest of the family. "Aunt" Ruby, like all of Karen's Aunts treated me just like one of her own. She was one of the sweetest dearst people I knew, and she will be greatly missed.

I send my condolences to Nancy Uram and to all the grandchildren of Ruby McCoy. I loved Mrs. McCoy. She was a dear, sweet lady.
