Crowe, Sarah S.

Sarah Stembridge Crowe, 70, of Richmond, died Saturday, February 12, 2005. She was a native of Danville, VA and the daughter of the late Robert L. Jr. and Mary Hylton Stembridge. She was a school teacher in Roanoke, Danville and Henrico County. Sarah was a former President of Westhampton UMW. Surviving are her husband William H. Crowe, a son Robert H. Crowe and his wife Darlene, a grandson Philip C. Crowe, all of Richmond, and two sisters, Mary Lane Travis of Asheville, NC and Rosalind S. Morton of Danville, VA. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 15 at 2:30 PM at Westhampton UMC in Richmond with the Rev. Rosemary G. Welch and the Rev. William Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at 4 PM in Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:30 PM prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Myositis Association, 1233 20th St. NW. Suite 402, Washington DC 20036 and the Alzheimer Foundation.
