Slade, Jr. George

George O. Slade, Jr., age 67 passed away on January 24, 2005. He was the son of the late George O. Slade, Sr. and Bernice Baker Slade. He is survived by a sister, Virginia M. Slade and three close first cousins, Bernice D. Taylor, Preston Raymond Dodson and William H. Dodson, other family members and special friends. George served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 2. Visitation for relatives and friends will be 6-8 pm on Thursday, January 27, 2005. A Funeral Service will be held 12 noon on Friday, January 28, 2005 in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery.
