Woodard, Charles B.

Charles Blythe Woodard, 85, of Hopewell, died Friday, January 21, 2005 in Wakemed Cary Hospital, Cary, NC. He was born in Lucama, NC. Mr. Woodard was a retired operator with Allied Chemical Cooperation, a self-employed paint contractor and served in the Merchant Marines. He was the son of the late Elisha and Willa Jane Ferrell Woodard. Surviving are his wife, Betty Grammer Woodard of Hopewell, a son, Charles B. Woodard, Jr. and his wife, Sybil of Cary N.C., a granddaughter, Michelle L. Woodard of Raleigh, N.C. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 25, 2005, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with The Rev. Bruce Catron, pastor of the First Congregational Christian Church, assisted by The Rev. Cecil Smith, former pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park.
