Schroeder, Jean P.D.

Jean Patricia DeLauter Schroeder, 71 of Petersburg VA departed this life December 29, 2004 at MCV Hospital in Richmond, VA. She is the daughter of the late John Cyrus DeLauter and Anna Mae McKenrick. She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Schroeder; three brothers and their wives, John C. and Carolyn DeLauter of Mountain View AR, Robert and Leona DeLauter of Falling Waters WV, and William L. and Diana DeLauter of Mechanicsburg, PA; three nieces and their husbands, Tammy Jean and LTC James P. Fletcher of Carlisle, PA, Barbara and Fred McNamee of Hedgesville, WV, Brenda and Robert Schroeder of Brunswick Maine; and one nephew, Edward DeLauter and his wife, Cindy of Mountain View AR. She was preceded in death by two nieces, Annette and Lea Ann DeLauter. In addition, she is survived and will be lovingly missed by numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews of the Schroeder family. Jean was born in Fredrick MD and lived her youthful life in Thurmont MD. She and her husband lived in various locations during their 35 years of married life to include five joyful years in Germany. Jean fully lived the phrase, “Bloom Where Your’e Planted” and made many loving friends during these years and in those locations. She was a member of the Frances Bland Randolph Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Church of the Sacred Heart, 4415 County Drive, New Bohemia at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 4, 2005. A private interment service will be held at a later date in Thurmont MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Frances Bland Randolph Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, c/o 301 Beacon Ridge Drive, #804, Hopewell, VA 23860-1632 or the Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) Foundation, P.O.
