Barbara,
Dave and I were shocked to hear the news about John. Our thought and prayers are with you and your family. We know that time will heal your heartaches and that you will always have memories to get you through the rough spots. If there is anything you need call us - 748-4781. We were unable to come to the funeral because we had a bug that the grandkids gave us at Christmas. Dave and Mary

Barbara,

I know that the void we will experience at KDR will in no way compare to the one you will have to endure. We not only lost one of our best negotiators but more importantly a dear friend. They say that a dog is man's best friend, but John A. was a dog's best friend. I am quite sure that he is now enjoying a steak and potato meal with Scotty. Please know that we share in your sorrow and that he will be remembered fondly by those who had the pleasure of working with him.

Sincerely, Albert

Barbara and family,

You have certainly been in our thoughts and
prayers, since hearing of John's illness and his
passing. May all of you heal quickly, knowing that John is in a better place. John and Wayne worked together from 1963 until 1995 when they retired from VDOT. You know, John was always ready to help everyone. Now, He will be able to help many. We Pray that the Lord will help you all in the days to come.

You know John seemed to be good

Kelley
I was sad to learn of your loss thru the obituary in the local newspaper. I remember you speaking fondly of your Dad when we worked together at Bell Atlantic. After reading the other postings, I know you must have inherited his sense of humor. Remember "Forrest Gump"?
I will have you and your family in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Barbara Lewis

Barbara and Family -
I'm so very sorry for your loss. It was always fun to have John walk into the office or be on the phone. He will be missed greatly by his friends at G&O. Please know that you are being held in thoughts and prayers.

Barbara,
You don't know me but I had the privilege of knowing John through his work at KDR. He was a fine gentleman and I think his negotiating skills were the direct result of understanding and appreciating everyday people.
My sincere condolences,

Barbara and family,

You have certainly been in my thoughts and prayers during John A.'s illness and his passing. May you all heal quickly, and know that there are prayers being said in his memory.

You know John seemed to be good with nicknames, i.e., Lelia was LeRoy and me, Queenie. Lelia and I agreed we would refer to each other by those nicknames to honor the memory of John A. Love to all, "Queenie"
