Isaac Huston Conder retired to eternal rest on Saturday, December 25, 2004, at age 65. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Campaign and retired as a Sergeant Major, after twenty-four years of military enlistment. His love and respect for his country and flag were second only to his family. He is survived by the love of his life, Bernadine Conder, his wife of forty-four years; his son, Christopher Conder; his daughter, Theresa Edmonds, her husband, Vanderbilt B. Edmonds; his two granddaughters, Alexandria Edmonds and Michaela Edmonds; and his grandson, Vanderbilt Huston Edmonds. This beloved husband, father and grandfather will be sadly missed. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 31, 2004 between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 103 S. Adams Street.
