Howard Norman Jones, Sr., 91, of Atlantic Street, Hopewell, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 in John Randolph Medical Center. He was born in Miskimon, VA and had been a resident of this area since 1940. Mr. Jones was a member of West End Presbyterian Church and a retired clerk with Potomac Supermarket. He was the son of the late John H. and Priscilla Norman Jones and the widower of Flossie Thomas Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by a daughter, Priscilla J. Braswell, a son, H. N. Jones, Jr. both of Hopewell, 5 grandchildren, Terri L. Weaver of Danville, VA, Merri A. Braswell of Hopewell, Jack T. Braswell, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Tamara L. Ward of Hopewell, and H. N. Jones, III of Prince George, 6 great grandchildren, C. J. Weaver, Elizabeth A. Weaver, both of Danville, VA, Garrett Ward of Hopewell, Matthew Jones, Peyton Jones and Abigail Jones, all of Prince George, a sister, Peggy J. Whaley of Northern Neck, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 16, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:30PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 17, 2004 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wayne Goode officiating. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
