Condolences

My Mom worked with Rebel for years at Rebco. When I was pretty young, I would be dropped off at Rebco after dance classes or school, and years later I would sometimes drive myself over to the shop to say hello. I always felt so welcome there! In fact, Rebel would invite me to sit with him--or on occasion on his lap for those of you who know his sillier side :)--and he would tell me stories about California and his friends and many good times. I could always count on Rebel for a smile and a good laugh! He and Margie invited me to many family gatherings and really always made me feel like a family member. Rebel probably never met a stranger, and I'm sure he will be thrilled that so many special friends and family members will gather this week to celebrate his life. I wish I could be there (I live in Illinois), but I send my best wishes to Margie, Belinda, Brian, Ronda and the family.

I met Rebel and Margie when they moved back to Virginia many years ago, I had just moved to Virginia from Hawaii a few years before that. Rebel took me under his wing and helped me refine my skills in engine building. Rebel embraced my family and treated my family like his own, for that I will forever love him for the rest of my life. Rebel has always been a close friend to me and I will miss him dearly. May God Bless Him.
