Erb, Robert W.

Robert Wayne Erb, 33, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2004 at Chippenham Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Bobby was dedicated to serving his community as a firefighter. He was a member of Namozine Volunteer Fire Department for 17 years, an employee of Petersburg Fire, Rescue, & Emergency Services for 9 years, and a part-time employee of Colonial Heights Fire & Rescue. Bobby attended the Cornerstone Assembly of God in Chesterfield County. He is survived by his wife, Sara Lynn Erb; four children, Briana, Hanna, Konner, and Taleah; his mother and step-father, Sharon T. and Bruce Edwards of Hopewell; his father, Ron Erb of Dinwiddie; his brother, Ronnie Erb, Jr. of Chester; his sister, Joy E. James of Matoaca; maternal grandmother, Viola Traylor of Midlothian; mother & father-in-law, Michael and Ruth Murphy of Niles, MI; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 12 Noon Friday, January 30, at West End Baptist Church, Dinwiddie. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
