Donald Ray Edgerton, 68, of Petersburg, widower of Georgie Edgerton, died Saturday, August 7, 2004 in Southside Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Petersburg and was the son of the late Herbert Lee and Reatha Flowers Edgerton. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Mary Edgerton of Manteo, NC; and two nephews, Mark Edgerton and his wife, Patricia and sons, Andrew and Travis all of Ford and Kevin Edgerton of Manteo, NC. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 11, at 2 p.m. in Blandford Cemetery with the Rev. Neil Wheeler, pastor of Chester Christian Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
