John William Elmore, Jr., 55, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Friday, February 6, 2004. John was a life long resident of the area, a member of Living Stone Baptist Church, and an employee of Honeywell for 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn P. Elmore; a son, Brian W. Elmore of Williamsburg; his parents, John W. and Doris Wells Elmore of Dinwiddie; two brothers, Robert F. Elmore and wife Pamela of Church Road and Timothy L. Elmore and wife Carin of Prince George; a sister, Susan E. Brooks and husband Wayne of Suffolk; father-in-law, James A. Plummer, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Suzanne Davis and husband Jack and Brenda Helmling all of Prince George; a brother-in-law, James A. Plummer, Jr. of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at Noon Monday, February 9, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
