Elder, Harold B.

Harold Bell Elder, 79, of McKenney died Friday, February 20, 2004. He was the son of the late Ernest Lyle and Florence Dickerson Elder and was preceeded in death by his wife; Helen Bruce Cliborne Elder, two brothers; Maurice Erson Elder and Harvey Melvin Elder and a sister; Mildred Elder Dyson. Mr. Elder was a Farmer and had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He is survived by two daughters; Linda E Johnson and husband Dr. James K. Johnson of Dinwiddie and Diane Mays and Husband Eddie of Chester; two grandsons Joshua R. Johnson and Jacob K. Johnson. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, February 23, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at the Graveside in Butterwood Cemetery in Darvills with the Rev. Kitan Petreski officiating. The Johnson family will receive friends on Sunday, from 3 – 4:30 P.M. at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Homes. Donations may be made to Asbury UMC, P.O. Box 351, McKenney, Va.
